My photography hobby started at a very young age. probably when I was 10-11 years old when my aunt gave me a Russian made camera set as a gift. I can not even remember its brand but of course it was a full-manuel camera. It helped me to learn the basics of photography very well. During my teenage years. I kept on shooting but it was not very consistent. During my college years. at Syracuse University. I again stated with this hobby. got me a new camera set and used almost all my optional courses in photography. Ifl had to chance to take two more courses. I could have also graduated with a major in photography. After basic courses. I chose the Studio Photography path and learned to use studio flashes. 4x5 Large format view cameras. Of course there was no digital and no Photoshop at that time. even Windows was not yet available. So. I had spent long hours in darkrooms. developing and printing old way. Well. somehow I stopped again after graduation for a long time. While I always loved the hobby and followed it very closely. I was indecisive for many years about whether going with digital or analog systems. After getting married and having children. I returned back very seriously and invested very extensively in both camera and PC systems. While I enjoy all types of photography, I mostly prefer wildlife, nature and difficult to photograph objects and techniques. It gives me great pleasure to photograph things that can not be seen by everyone in everyday life. For me technical perfection in photography is very important. Besides a few exceptions. a photo has to be technically perfect or near-perfect. if not it will never be a great photo for me no matter what the subject is. Currently. I am very much into Bird and wildlife photography because it is difficult. and challenging but the satisfaction of getting the rare good photos is one of a kind.
